MINUTES Present were Chairman Jimmy English, Gerald Velie, Jim Milam, Teresa Coleman, Melvin James, Katrina Banks, Louis Hesse, and Mary Bakan. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Jimmy English. The minutes from the April meeting were read and approved. There were no meetings held in February or March. There were no meetings held in May or June. As a result of an interest in creating a soccer/athletic field in an area off Memory Lane, it was discovered that the listing for Recreational Grounds and Facilities was inadvertently omitted on the recently revised Table of Permitted Uses in the UDO. A motion was made by Teresa Coleman and seconded by Melvin James that a text change amendment be recommended to add this listing as a conditional use in zones R20, RA20, and B2. In the original Table of Permitted Uses, this use was permitted in all zones except Business Zones and Industrial Zones. It was also agreed that the Planning Board along with Chad McEwen would readdress the list of permitted uses to see if any other categories were omitted which should be incorporated in the new Table. The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m. |
