MINUTES
VILLAGE OF ST HELENA
PLANNING BOARD MEETING OF December 1, 2011

Present were Chairman Jimmy English, Gerald Velie, Teresa Coleman, Melvin James, Katrina Banks, Attorney Bob Hugh Corbett, Village Inspector Louis Hesse, and Chad McEwen.

The meeting was called to order by Jimmy English.

The minutes from the November meeting were read and approved.

Jim Davis inquired about the new Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).  We were informed that they have been approved for printing.  A few more items need to be addressed, but we should have them soon.  The new books will enable everyone to keep the books current and up-to-date regarding any future changes.  Mr. Davis also suggested that all page replacements be made by Mr. McEwen.  Mr. Davis and Mr. Rampone then exited the meeting.  Mr. Hesse stated that future applications must be received seven (7) days before any scheduled meeting which would give the sitting Board time to become acquainted with the upcoming agenda prior to the meeting. 

A petition for rezoning a small parcel of land located at 2265 Hwy 117 S. (formerly known as Options) from R20 to O&I was presented to the Planning Board.  Because of the specific characteristics, location, shape, and configuration of the property in question, it was determined that this rezoning would be legally acceptable and would promote the best use of the property.  On motion by Teresa Coleman and seconded by Gerald Velie, a recommendation was sent to the Village Council to approve the rezoning of the above mentioned property from R20 to O&I.
