February 2015 Planning Board Minutes |
MINUTES VILLAGE OF ST. HELENA PLANNING BOARD MEETING of February 5, 2015
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jimmy English. Present were Jimmy English, Gerald Velie, Teresa Coleman, Melvin James, Katrina Banks, Mack Smith and Village Inspector Louis Hesse.
Mr. John Leimone spoke to the Planning Board expressing his concerns over being able to subdivide property for family members.
Louis Hesse informed the Board that the request to assistance in revising the Comprehensive Plan for St. Helena had been denied due to cost. Other options for financial assistance will be looked into.
Louis Hesse informed the Board that the previous recommendation sent to the Village Council for a minor subdivision was denied. The Planning Board was given a proposed option for a Family Subdivision. After some discussion and on motion by Gerald Velie, seconded by Melvin James, a new recommendation will be given to Attorney Nathan Coleman for review. The new proposed recommendation would allow family subdivisions on parcels that were created and recorded before August 19, 2003. A total of three parcels per qualified immediate family member would be allowed to be created. The division should not create a new public or private street and each parcel would be required to have sixty feet of road frontage. Several requirements would also need to be met.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. |
