VILLAGE OF ST. HELENA

PLANNING BOARD MEETING of February 4, 2016

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jimmy English at 6:37 p.m.  Present were Jimmy English, Gerald Velie, Mack Smith, Teresa Coleman, Melvin James, Katrina Banks, and Village Inspector Louis Hesse.

The Planning Board was advised that certain property was under contract in an effort to pursue using it for the production of solar power.  The property is located in St. Helena on Hwy 117 near Safeway Chevrolet.  At the present time, solar farms are not listed as a permitted use.  We shall discuss suggesting a text change to include solar farms as a permitted conditional use.
