VILLAGE OF ST. HELENA

PLANNING BOARD MEETING of November 2, 2017

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jimmy English at 6:35 p.m.  Present were Jimmy English, Gerald Velie, Teresa Coleman, Melvin James, Katrina Banks, Hersey Fennell, and Village Inspector Louis Hesse.

The Planning Board was furnished with additional information regarding the restrictions being utilized by other communities in the area regarding accessory buildings.

After much discussion and consideration, the Planning Board unanimously voted to request a text change regarding the restrictions of accessory buildings as follows:

(a) That in Section 10-2 note 4, the limitation of the size of an accessory building to 50% (fifty percent) of the total gross floor area of the primary structure be stricken; and

(b) That the limitation to the number of accessory buildings allowed on property being used for residential purposes be changed from two (2) to three (3).  More than three (3) accessory structures would require a conditional use permit; and

(c) That all accessory structures meet the setback requirements for the zoning district.

The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
