Planning Board Minutes Thursday, January 6, 2022
Present were Chairman Jimmy English, Planning Board Member/secretary Carey Childress, Building Inspector Louis Hesse, Planner Kim Rivenbark, Planning Board Member Gerald Velie, Planning Board Member Katrina Banks, Planning Board Member Teresa Coleman, Planning Board Member/ETJ representative Hersey Fennell, and Village Attorney Nathaniel Coleman.
In the audience were Mike Barnes, Rick Mayes, Roger and Beth Hayden.
Meeting started at 6:30 p.m.
Kim Rivenbark said that Project Fresh has applied for a Special Use Permit (SUP).
Proposed maps were presented.
Mentioned was fencing and a 6-7 feet blank wall.
Any new signs will require a sign permit.
The truck wash pad was removed from first draft.
Discussion included lighting, secure fencing, and proposed expansion on the interior grounds.
It was mentioned that the estimate of trucks going “in and out” will be about 65 per day. Most coming down Front Street.
Storage of trailers (as in truck and trailers) was discussed.
The Project Fresh representatives are hoping for a March 2023 opening.
It was brought up that the railroad “might possibly” come back to St. Helena so a clear view of the building maybe seen from the highway.
Gerald Velie may the motion the recommend the Special Use Permit. Carey Childress seconded it. It was approved unanimously.
