Planning Board Minutes

February 9, 2023

St. Helena Village Hall

6:30 p.m.

Attending the meeting were Chairman Jimmy English, Planning Board Member Gerald Velie, Planning Board member and ETJ representative Hersey Fennell, Planning Board Member Teresa Coleman, Village Attorney Nathaniel Coleman Secretary Carey Childress, Planning Board member Katrina Banks, and building inspector Louis T. Hesse.

Also present was Sam Shore from the Cape Fear Council of Government.

Sam Shore started the meeting and went over pages for review 1-1, 2,3,4. When finished, it will have the community survey results.2-1, 2, 3, 4,5,6,7,8,9,10, 3-1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, 11.

Sam passed out chapter 4 draft for review for next month’s meeting. Sam Shore will also pass out Chapter 5 and 6 next month.

Louis brought the planning board “up to speed” on Project Fresh. According to Louis, they are going “full steam ahead”.
