Village of St. Helena Council Meeting

And Public Hearing

June 20, 2013

Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Jim Davis, Nancy Jones, William Hunter, R. H. Corbett, and Louis Hesse.  Absent were Neil Benton and Ron Rampone.

Attending the meeting were Jim Cox, Judy Katalinic, and Kathy Hone.

A public hearing on the proposed 2013-1014 budget began at 6:25 P. M.

No comments were made.

On motion by Jim Davis, and seconded by William Hunter, the public hearing was adjourned unanimously.

Mayor Barnhill called the regular meeting to order at 6:30 P. M. and prayed.

Louis Hesse mentioned that Charles White would be requesting a rezoning of his property to residential.

Louis was asked to check on improving the ISO rating for the Village of St. Helena.

R. H. Corbett reported that he had contacted several municipalities about pay for Planning Board members.  Only one paid $25.

Mayor Barnhill recommended paying like we have been doing.

On motion by Jim Davis, and seconded by Nancy Jones, it was unanimous to accept the mayor’s recommendation and making it retroactive.

A letter is to be sent out to make residents aware of OCS as our waste collection company beginning August 1, 2013.  Last day for Waste Management is July 31, 2013.

Jim Davis got approval for mulch for the hall grounds at an estimated cost of $100.

Nancy Jones asked if there was any discussion on the proposed budget.

On motion by Jim Davis, and seconded by William Hunter, the budget for 2013-1014 was approved unanimously.
