Village of St. Helena Council Meeting

August 15, 2013

Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Ron Rampone, Neil Benton, Jim Davis, William Hunter, and Louis Hesse.  Absent was Nancy Jones.

Attending the meeting were Judy Katalinic, Kathy Hone, Gina Rampone, Alice Southerland, and Lawan Corbett with three children.

Mayor Robert Barnhill called the meeting to order at 6:30 P. M. and prayed.

On motion by Ron Rampone, and seconded by William Hunter, the minutes of July 18, 2013 were approved unanimously.

On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Ron Rampone, the financial report was approved unanimously.

Louis Hesse mentioned that Charles White was to wait until September to submit application for rezoning.

Louis requested a reprint of the UDO due to changes estimating the cost at $200.

On motion by Jim Davis, and seconded by Ron Rampone, Louis’ request was approved unanimously.

Neil Benton brought up that Lawan Corbett was a resident of the Village of St. Helena and was being charged by Waste Management for waste pickup.

William Hunter said that G & H paving will cost more.  The price of asphalt increased.

On motion by Jim Davis, and seconded by Ron Rampone, the increase was approved unanimously.

Jim Davis discussed the painting of the hall interior and pressure washing the exterior of the building.  Bids will be requested by advertising in the paper.

For the vacancy of a part-time attorney, three applicants had applied.  Interviews were set up for Thursday, August 29, 2013.

Alice Southerland asked if a framed poster about square and round dances from the past could be hung in the hall.  This was okay.

On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Ron Rampone, the meeting was adjourned unanimously.
