MINUTES

Village of St. Helena Town Council

September 19, 2013

Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Ron Rampone, Jim Davis, Nancy Jones, William Hunter, and Louis T. Hesse.  Absent was Neil Benton.

Attending the meeting was Judy Katalinic.

Mayor Barnhill called the meeting to order at 6:30 P. M. and Ron Rampone prayed.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, minutes of August 15, 2013 were approved unanimously.

On motion by Ron Rampone, and seconded by William Hunter, the financial report was approved unanimously.

Louis Hesse said that Charles White had applied for rezoning of fifty acres from industrial to R-20.

On motion by Jim Davis, and seconded by Ron Rampone, it was unanimous to set up a public hearing on Charles White’s request at 6:25 P. M. at the council’s meeting on October 17, 2013.

Mayor Barnhill commented that he felt recycling had improved.

William Hunter told the council that paving improvements were complete on Memory Lane and Over Street.

Jim Davis brought up that a lady was having a problem with water standing as a result of a drain pipe under U S Highway 117.  This was discussed.

Jim Davis presented bids for painting and pressure washing the town hall.

On motion by Jim Davis, and seconded by Ron Rampone, the council voted unanimously to accept the $2000.00 bid from Eddie Murray.

After discussing attorney applicants, Jim Davis made a motion to hire Nathaniel T. Coleman, seconded by Ron Rampone, the vote was three yes and one no (Nancy Jones).

On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Jim Davis, the meeting was adjourned unanimously.
