Village of St. Helena Town Board Meeting

May 15, 2014

Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Judy Katalinic, William Hunter, Nancy Jones, Ron Rampone, Louis Hessse, and Nathaniel Coleman.  Absent was Neil Benton.

Attending the meeting were Gina Rampone and Kathy Hone.

Mayor Barnhill called the meeting to order and prayed.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Ron Rampone, minutes of April 17, 2014, were approved unanimously.

On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, the financial report was approved unanimously.

William Hunter mentioned the mowing of the streets.

Mayor Barnhill discussed the budget proposal for 2014-2015.

It was mentioned that Waste Industries had bought OCS.

Judy asked Louis about a map.  Louis explained going through Pender County and being certified to review map.

Mayor Barnhill will contact Time Warner about telephone service.

Mary Bakan will contact N. C. League of Municipalities about workers’ compensation.

A public hearing on the proposed budget was scheduled at the next meeting at 6:20 P. M. on June 19.

Mayor Barnhill commented that all should look over the personnel policy.

Ron Rampone announced that he was leaving St. Helena and his home had been sold.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Ron Rampone, the meeting was adjourned unanimously.
