MINUTES Village of St. Helena Town Board Meeting November 20, 2014
Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Judy Katalinic, Neil Benton, William Hunter, Nancy Jones, Kaye Knowles, Louis T. Hesse, and Nathaniel Coleman. Attending the meeting was Alice Southerland Mayor Barnhill called the meeting to order and prayed.
On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, the minutes of October 16, 2014, were approved unanimously.
On motion by Judy Katalinic, and seconded by William Hunter, the financial report was approved unanimously.
Attorney Coleman stated that he had talked with Robert Kenan about the Ben Everett property in question.
On motion by Judy Katalinic, and seconded by Nancy Jones, it was unanimous to table any action on this property until Nathaniel Coleman could get a copy of the latest survey.
Mayor Barnhill reviewed the 2013-14 audit.
On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, the 2013-14 audit was approved unanimously.
Mayor Barnhill read a letter that he sent to the state treasurer in response to internal control.
On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, a resolution to become a member of the NC Interlocal Risk Management Agency was adopted unanimously.
Mayor Barnhill announced that the Pender County Municipal Association dinner meeting would be January 30, 2015 at the Historic Depot in Burgaw at 7:00 P. M.
The mayor stated that ABC money was received in the amount of $3,698.07.
On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, the meeting was adjourned unanimously.
