MINUTES Village of St. Helena Town Board Meeting March 17, 2016
Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Mayor Pro Tem Judy Katalinic, William Hunter, Nancy Jones, Kaye Knowles, Louis T. Hesse, and Nathaniel T. Coleman. Absent was Neil Benton.
At the meeting was Alice Southerland.
Mayor Barnhill called the meeting to order and prayed.
On motion by Judy Katalinic, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, minutes of February 18, 2016 were approved unanimously.
On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, the financial report was approved unanimously.
Louis Hesse talked about the possibility of a solar panel farm off of Highway 117. Most of it is not in the Village of St. Helena.
Louis updated copies of the ordinance for the council members.
Nancy Jones told the council that the large Leimone farm had been sold to Charles Rooks.
Land owned by Mark Smith, Jr. was discussed.
Mayor Barnhill mentioned ethics training to be held at the COG office.
Kaye Knowles is our representative for meetings on the Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Alice Southerland updated the council on the preservation of the Orthodox Church.
Alice brought up that one of the bathrooms in the hall was leaking.
Mayor Barnhill volunteered to cook chicken for a fundraiser for the Community Center Association.
On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, it was unanimous to go into executive session.
On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, it was unanimous to seal the minutes of the executive session.
On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, it was unanimous to adjourn the executive session.
On motion by Judy Katalinic, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, the regular meeting was adjourned unanimously.
