MINUTES Village of St. Helena Town Board Meeting And Budget Public Hearing June 16, 2016
Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Mayor Pro Tem Judy Katalinic, William Hunter, Nancy Jones, Kaye Knowles, Louis Hesse, and Nathaniel Coleman. Absent was Neil Benton. Mayor Robert Barnhill called the budget public hearing to order. Mayor Barnhill read the ad in the paper. There were no public comments. On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, the budget hearing was adjourned. Mayor Barnhill called the regular meeting to order and prayed. On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, the minutes of May 19, 2016 were approved unanimously. On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, the financial report was approved unanimously. Louis Hesse reported on several areas, including one house to be possible built on 30 acres on Northwest Avenue and a modular home to be put on Front Street next to the Orthodox Church. Attorney Coleman passed out a tax report of Village of St. Helena residents owing taxes. The mayor will invite Randall Woodruff, the county manager, to the July meeting of the council. Judy Katalinic reported that bushes are obstructing the blinking light on the curve on Front Street/New Road Ave. On Motion by Judy Katalinic, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, it was unanimous to pay $100.00 to Tommy Ivey once a quarter to mow the land next to the hall. On motion by Kaye Knowles, and seconded by William Hunter, it was unanimous to adopt the 2016-2017 budget. On Motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, the meeting was adjourned unanimously. Respectfully submitted.
