Village of St. Helena Town Board Meeting

August 18, 2016

Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Mayor Pro Tem Judy Katalinic, Neil Benton, William Hunter, Kaye Knowles, Louis Hesse, and Nathaniel Coleman.  Absent was Nancy Jones.

Mayor Barnhill called the meeting to order at 6:30 P. M. and prayed.

On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, minutes of July 21, 2016 were approved unanimously.

On motion by Judy Katalinic, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, the financial report was approved unanimously.

Mayor Barnhill stated that answers to tax collections were needed.

Mayor Barnhill made comments on the financial report in the areas of Powell Bill funds and the ABC distribution.

A town building similar to the Watha town hall was discussed.  Judy will check on information about the Watha building and location of the materials of Dr. Ainsley’s presentations in the past.

Judy mentioned that sometimes when the St. Helena Community Center is used, there is a parking problem.  She is concerned about trees on the ditch bank and that branches are reaching over the building.

On motion by Judy Katalinic, and seconded by William Hunter, the meeting was adjourned unanimously.
