MINUTES

Village of St. Helena Town Board Meeting

February 15, 2018


Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Mayor Pro Tem Judy Katalinic, Margaret Brinzey, William Hunter, Nancy Jones, Kaye Knowles, Louis Hesse, and Nathaniel Coleman.


Mayor Barnhill opened the meeting and prayed.


On motion by Kaye Knowles, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, minutes of January 18, 2018 were approved unanimously.


On motion by Kaye Knowles, and seconded by Nancy Jones, the financial report was approved unanimously.


The proposed text amendment regarding accessory buildings was discussed.


On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, action on the proposed text amendment was tabled unanimously.


The Gepperts living in Saint Helena have requested raising in their front yard grass-fed pigs for sale for consumption. The UDO limits a total of five pigs. They requested more than five pigs.


Mayor Barnhill asked Louis to consult with Kim Rivenbark for an estimated charge to update and correct the UDO.


On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, the 2017-1018 audit contract from Thompson, Price, Scott, Adams & Co. PA was approved unanimously.


The list of Board of Adjustment members was reviewed. Judy suggested that they should get paid when they meet. Mayor Barnhill thought $50 a meeting was good. No one objected.


The high cost of propane gas was brought up by Nancy Jones.


Nancy suggested inviting a candidate that is running for sheriff.


Margaret Brinzey brought up about trash on the streets. She was also concerned about drainage.


On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, the meeting was adjourned unanimously.
