Village of St. Helena Town Board Meeting and Budget Hearing

June 20, 2019

Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Mayor Pro-Tem Judy Katalinic, William Hunter, Nancy Jones, Kaye Knowles, Margaret Brinzey, and Nathaniel Coleman. Absent were Louis T. Hesse and Kim Rivenbark.

Mayor Barnhill called the public budget hearing to order. He read the ad in the paper.

No one was in the audience. There were no comments made about the 2019-2020 budget.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, the public hearing was adjourned unanimously.

Mayor Barnhill called the regular meeting and led the prayer.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, minutes of May 16, 2019  and June 10, 2019 were approved unanimously.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, the financial report for May was approved unanimously.

Mayor Barnhill noted that the tax rate for St. Helena will remain at five cents per hundred dollar valuation.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, the 2019-2020 budget was approved unanimously.

William Hunter gave an update on the work being done by W. E. Newton, Jr.

William Hunter talked about Fairfield Avenue. He is to check out needed repairs.

Judy Katalinic asked William Hunter about moving a file cabinet to the town hall that was donated by Margaret Brinzey. He agreed to do it.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, the meeting was adjourned unanimously.
