Village of St. Helena Town Board Meeting

September 19, 2019

Present were Mayor Robert Barnhill, Mayor Pro Tem Judy Katalinic, William Hunter, Nancy Jones, Kaye Knowles, and Margaret Brinzey. Absent were Nathaniel Coleman and Louis T. Hesse. Kimberly Rivenbark showed up after adjournment.

Mayor Barnhill called the meeting to order and led the prayer.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, minutes of August 15, 2019 were approved unanimously.

On motion by Nancy Jones, and seconded by William Hunter, the financial report was approved unanimously after a discussion about payment to a substitute building inspector.

Nancy Jones questioned David Hart’s request to live on his mother’s property, and what was the outcome.

William Hunter stated that W. E. Newton will work on Fairfield Drive in October.

Judy Katalinic brought up that the Village will probably need a Window 10 computer to submit reports to Raleigh. One of the reports is the expenditure report for the Powell Bill Program.

Under discussion were specifications for the new town hall.

On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Judy Katalinic, it was unanimous to adjourn.

Kimberly Rivenbark (planner) arrived and informed the Council of new changes coming that would require updating the Village of St. Helena’s UDO.
