Village of St. Helena Town Hall Meeting

July 16, 2020

Present were Mayor Pro-Tem Judy Katalinic , Councilman William Hunter, Councilwoman Kaye Knowles, Councilwoman Margaret Brinzey, Planner Kim Rivenbark, and Louis Hesse. Absent were Nancy Jones, Robert Barnhill, and Nathaniel Coleman.

In the audience were Carey Childress.

Mayor Pro-Tem Judy Katalinic presided over the meeting due to the mayor’s absence.

Judy Katalinic called the meeting to order and Kaye Knowles led the prayer.

Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag and the salute to the N.C. State Flag were said.

Carey Childress pointed out that the St. Helena City limit sign was missing near the Pike Creek Cemetery.

Kaye Knowles mentioned that street sign by the Krawetsky’s was missing.

On motion by Margaret Brinzey, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, minutes of June 18, 2020 were approved unanimously after a correction.

On motion by William Hunter, and seconded by Kaye Knowles, the financial report was approved unanimously.

William Hunter presented an invoice from Southern Asphalt, Inc. for resurfacing Fairfield Drive. It was pointed out that the funds will come from the Powell money.

Judy Katalinic brought up the Scotch Bonnet Solar farm.

On motion by Kaye Knowles, and seconded by William Hunter, the meeting was adjourned unanimously.
