Minutes of a Regular Council Meeting

Held on December 19, 2024

The meeting was called to order at 6:34 P.M. by Mayor Robert Barnhill. Present, in addition to Mr. Barnhill, were Council Members Neil Benton, Carey Childress, Judith Katalinic and Gerald Velie, who constituted a quorum. Also present were Village Building Inspector Louis T. Hesse, Planner Stephanie L. Moore and Attorney Robert Corbett. Ms. Katalinic was appointed to act as clerk.

Ms. Katalinic delivered an invocation, and Mr. Barnhill led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States and the Salute to the North Carolina Flag.

On motion by Mr. Benton, seconded by Mr. Childress, the minutes of November 19, 2024 meeting were approved. On motion by Mr. Childress, seconded by Ms. Katalinic, the November financial report was approved.

On motion by Mr. Velie, seconded by Ms. Katalinic, the hiring of Mr. Greg Dail to put in a new handicap ramp at a cost of $13,482.00 was passed.

On motion by Mr. Benton, seconded by Ms. Katalinic, the meeting was adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
